Flippa is a marketplace for buying and selling websites, domain names and iOS apps glass water flask, based in Melbourne, Australia and San Francisco. Flippa was founded by Mark Harbottle and Matt Mickiewicz as the SitePoint Marketplace, and was spun off as a separate website in June, 2009. During the 2012 US Presidential election, the domain name RomneyRyan.com was listed on Flippa reaching $8,050.00 USD in bids, but did not sell. In May 2015 Flippa.com bought Domain Holdings, the domain name brokerage firm based in Florida, US.
In August 27, 2015, Potato Parcel was sold to marketplace website Flippa for $42,000. Previously, Flippa bought the viral webite ShipYourEnemiesGlitter.com from creator Matthew Carpentor for $85,000.
